We were fundraising for the Tölgyfa Erderly Home in Vasvár for tangible assets

The Nádasdi Evangelical Diaconal Centre is an integrated social institution maintained by the Evangelical Church of Hungary. From 1 January 2024, the Diaconal Centre took over the Tölgyfa Home for the Elderly in Vasvár. In the framework of specialised care, they provide nursing and care with permanent residential care, and also provide temporary care for those in need at their Vasvár site. 

Within the framework of the basic service, the institution provides meals, medical and physical care appropriate to the age and health of the people in need, mental care, organisation of useful pastimes and employment for them. They provide assistance in accessing public services outside the home, basic services and community development.

They face a number of gaps and barriers that create significant difficulties in delivering professional work and quality service. Our aim is to overcome these handicaps as soon as possible, one of the essential parts of which is the acquisition of missing equipment.

The equipment needed includes, for example, 10 mattresses, a portable oxygen concentrator, a defibrillator machine and many other items. The total cost of these items is more than 2 million HUF.
