In Ukraine, the "St. Kamil Aid" has been set up to provide on-the-spot help to people in need. Fr. Alfréd György, the head of the Austrian Camillian Missionary Organization, comes to Tiszaújlak at least once a month and distributes hot meals with the volunteer team within the framework of the "Meals on Wheels" project.

A big problem is that there is a shortage of practical help, few people who can help with kitchen repairs or garden maintenance and a tight budget for building work.

Teenagers and young adults from Camillian families in Hungary and Transylvania were introduced to the initiative in Transcarpathia. They are involved in the project through several weeks of volunteer work and on-site support. Depending on their age, skills and interests, the young people will support the volunteer cooks in the kitchen, distribute food and help out with a variety of other tasks.

Their aim is to support children with disabilities through play and offer their parents a new perspective. The pastoral care of these committed young people will be provided by Father Alfred György, who will draw on all the experience he has gained in his missionary work.

They are lonely and desperate people who, through no fault of their own, are living in poverty. That is why it is important to help and continue to give attention to the suffering people of Transcarpathia!

Please help us with your donations and prayers to continue the development of the project, to advance the construction of the house and to cover the maintenance and accommodation costs of the volunteers.

A fixed grant of €35 per month will enable one person to receive a hot lunch three times a week for a month.

We thank our Supporters for their honourable and much appreciated donation!
