We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of you!
It is wonderful to see and experience that when the need is truly great, we can still count on help and support. The power of prayer and faith stands above all else; yet the amount raised through your donations goes even beyond that, providing not only spiritual nourishment but also physical food for our fellow human beings who have remained in Transcarpathia.
As you may have read when our campaign was launched, the “Saint Camillus Relief Organization” was established in Ukraine so that aid could be provided locally to those in need. Fr. György Alfréd, head of the Austrian Camillian missionary organization, travels to Tiszaújlak at least once a month and, within the framework of the “Meals on Wheels” project, distributes hot meals together with the volunteer team.
The goal was to create and expand a kitchen that would make it possible for every person in need and every sick person to receive a hot lunch three times a week for one month.
Lonely and desperate people live there who, through no fault of their own, are living in poverty. That is why every form of help, as well as the power of prayer, is so important.
